Scythe Sickle Left Handed

A light weight sickle, shaped like a scythe, made from quality Schroeckenfux steel. Weight 340 grams. Blade length is 32 cm; handle is made of wood. This sickle is sharpened with a second cut half round file rather than peened. If you haven’t already got such a file at home, you can find them in most hardware stores. We then remove the burr with one of our whetstones.

We have both right handed and left handed sickles available. Nicki is left handed, but uses a right handed scythe so thought she could use a right handed sickle. As soon as she picked it up, she realised that she needed a left handed sickle, and immediately contacted Schroeckenfux in Austria for them to send a small shipment out for her and other lefties.
